Tie down strap mess

The following patent pending product was developed to alleviate the following issue: How many times have you gone to get your tie downs and you find the following picture. This is typically what happens, you reach into the back of your truck to grab a tie down strap and you get several all intertwined or in your garage there is "that crate" you know the one that holds all of you tie downs, bungees, rope, etc. Most of us spend the next 5 minutes sorting through the mess to get the tie downs free. After the tie downs have been freed, the tie down is used to secure whatever you are hauling and there is always excess strapping that needs to be secure.... so we start tying know to prevent the strap from flapping. When we get to our destination, we spend additional time untying the knots that we just made. Finally the ratchet is constantly exposed to the elements: dirt, sand, mud, sunlight, ice, and snow. This definitely has an effect on the performance and life of the ratchet system. Take a look at our website to see our tie down strap storage solutions.

The following picture shows the tying off of a tie down strap, then after the sack has been installed on the tie down strap securing all of the excess strapping and then finally, the storage of the entire tie down strap within the bag itself.

Tie Down Strap Storage System

Our tie down strap storage solution is made out of durable ripstop nylon, the cord is parachute cord with a cord stop, the bottom of the sack has a zip tie installed for easy installation. The zip tie can be cut to apply to a different strap.

The functionality of the bag allows the user to secure the excess strapping during use so there is not need to tie-off the excess strap and the bag holds the entire strap during storage to prevent tangling with other tie down straps. The following tie down strap storage solution is a patented system. The bag/sack installs in seconds to any existing tie down strap. To install the bag, simple take the end that is attached to the ratchet or other tightening mechanism and slide it through the top of the bag (where the drawstring is located) continue feeding it through the bottom of the bag and use the zip tie to cinch it to the strap. Cut off the remaining zip tie and the bag is installed.
